The project has aimed to have 3 levels to maximize the potential of the slope on the site.
On Level 1 is the Silent space (to re- flect on the past of Bamiyan)
On Level 2 (Sunken Entrance) houses the Lobby, Temporary Exhibition and Administration
On Level 3 is the Performance Hall, Research, Workshop and Studios.
All levels are unified with a common public space (Amphitheatre) The orientation of volumes is such to maximize the view of the Buddha statues.
FRAME OF VIEWS is one of the key fea- tures of the design. The volumes Frames the Sky, Frames the Buddha statues and the Valley and the City.
